PDF downloads Lap Joint Flange Dimensions & Drawing

Lap joint flanges consist of two parts: A stub end (welded to the pipe). A loose flange ring (that slides over the stub end). They do not have a raised face. The pipe is welded to the stub end allowing the lap joint flange to rotate freely around the stub end to align bolt holes during installation, which is especially useful in tight spaces or complex assemblies. Type 304 stainless steel, a chromium-nickel material, resists corrosion caused by water, heat, saltwater, acids, minerals, and peaty soils. Type 316 stainless steel has a higher nickel content than 304 stainless, plus molybdenum, for even greater corrosion resistance. Class 150 is for use with low pressure (100-299 PSI) pipe (schedule 40) and fittings (150#).
